Chocolate mustaches

I love the whole "photo booth" concept for parties!  How cool is this one?!
Although with that huge frame, you might want to have a larger backdrop...I'm just sayin'!

no cleanup required

Ummm...how awesome is this lamp?

well that's a 1st

Well, it looks like my photos from our rooftop dinner got deleted.  I blame it on our dinasour computer that is completely full with no room for new pictures.  Ugh.

One picture did make it though...unfortunately it was not one of my best shots, but I'll share:

outside dining

So we had dinner on the roof last night!  Here's an iPhone teaser...I'll post more tonight.
Dinner was pesto chicken salad, heirloom tomatoes, and roasted summer squash and figs!  Yummy!  Unfortunately dinner got cut a little short - Omar's work called.  We left the chairs on the roof for tonight though!

And its back to work

Omar and I have a pretty quiet weekend, which was a nice change from the last month!  Never fear, though!  I still have a few pictures of the highlights!

On Saturday Omar and I decided to head down to Union Square.  I needed to return some pants to Anthro and we needed new sheets bad!  So of course we ended up eating at the top of Macy's, The Cheesecake Factory...and the sun made an appearance!
After lunch and finding some awesome sheets (on sale) we decided to take the trolley to Nook for coffee.  Thankfully there was an available table outside, so we got to enjoy the sun and all the tourists!
We knew Sunday was going to be full of chores and Omar needed to work, so after dinner we decided one more cocktail was in order!  Once again we were lucky and got a table outside on Tipsy Pig's porch, right underneath a heater and the twinkly lights!  It was such a beautiful night!

Sunday wasn't quiet as fun as Saturday, but it was still a relaxing and productive day!  We even went to the a farmer's market and got some tasty heirloom tomatoes, figs, grapes, and squash!  Unfortunately Omar had to work most of the afternoon and well in this morning.  Yuck.  I kept myself busying watching Teen Wolf, Kourtney & Kim in Miami, and Up.

And now its Monday and the temperatures are soaring!  It is actually supposed to be in the 80's - IN SF - for the next 3 days!  Unheard of!  It was really hard coming into work this morning, but I'm looking forward to a long walk/run with Omar and Gypsy this evening.  If only we had a porch to hang out on tonight....maybe I can convince Omar to have dinner on the roof tonight!  I'll take pictures!

And just because I own the cutest dog in the world:

Yummy

I've never been a huge dark chocolate fan, but these have changed my mind.  Currently this is my new favorite midday snack!  Good.  Good.  Good.

din din

I can't help but post a few more pictures of my weekend!
Saturday night looked a little like this:
Randy made us some yummy steaks.

Brooke broke her wine glass and had to drink out of my "special" glass.

Omar excited about his new Toms!

Some excellent wines to celebrate R's new job!

bookworm

The August meeting of the bookworms was hosted on Saturday by B.  Brooke throws awesome parties, and this luncheon did not disappoint!  She made fresh blueberry and blackberry pie, salad with grilled figs, and the yummiest Croque Monsieurs!  Oh, and we can't forget Michael Chiarello's marinated parmesan dip and the rosemary roasted cashews.  To wash it all down we had some fabulous champagne, Iron Horse Wedding Cuvee.  Delicious!

It was such a wonderful afternoon with some of the most awesome girls I know and baby N!

And in case you were wondering, the book of the month was North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley.

And because there are rarely few pictures of me...

It just keeps getting better

We had another fabulous weekend!  I love my weekends!  I have so many good pictures that I'm going to have to break this up in two posts.  Shall we start with Friday evening?

Although it took us 2 hours to get to Napa (usually an hour drive), we were so happy to be out of the fog and cold! On the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge the sun came out and the temperature rose from 56 to 78 degrees! Love it.

Just a reminder that you can click on the pictures for a better view.
Of course the first thing the boys do upon our arrival is to throw washers!

And of course the first thing B and I do is relax with a cocktail!

After a round of cocktails and washers, we headed to the Napa County Fair.
Dinner that night consisted of plenty of fair food - fried cheese, corndogs, funnel cake, and beer!  Healthy!

The boys did a little shopping at the booths that were set up.

Jack Ingram was performing - one of the main reasons we went to the fair.  Brooke and I rushed the stage!

Before we called it a night we had to ride the ferris wheel and play a few
games!

Omar won Gypsy a prize!  (Side note:  We looked for Gypsy's "breeders" but came up empty handed!)

More to come on B's awesome book club luncheon!

Just You and Me

I had an awesome weekend - great company, yummy food, and some tasty tasty wine!!

Friday:  Dinner with B&R at R&G and some fabulous wine afterwards! (Randy, thanks for the wine - you spoil us!)
Saturday:  spin class / library / pizza at DelaRosa / Inception / cheese and olives at Ottimista / cozy dinner at Chez Chez (Gamine)
Sunday:  coffee and crepes / tons of laundry / checked out the The Brick Yard (new home of the Texas Ex's for football season) / prepared chicken enchilladas and peach salsa chicken for the week (yes, I'm so domestic) / visited the new home of Freesteam (pretty sweet digs) / new North Face for me and my groom / lots of Paris talk / illegal viewing of Sex & the City 2 (if I only I could have Carrie's wardrobe!)

Now I must go workout for the 2nd time today to counter all the food and wine consumed this weekend!  I love my weekends!

And the countdown begins to next Friday afternoon!

Doggone tired

These were taken of Gypsy last night on my iPhone.  He was tuckered out and hogging the covers!
Cutest dog ever?  I think so!
