Trail Run #2

My 2nd trail run went really well.  Once again, everyone was so supportive.  Most of these runners are real runners - yet at the break off point (those running 7 miles and those of us running 3.5 miles) everyone was waiting and cheering for me (and didn't seem annoyed at all)!
My stats for run #2 - tracked by the awesome Run Keeper iPhone application:

Distance:  3.67 miles
Duration:  48:18
Average Speed: 4.56 mph
Climbed:  881 ft (which was primarily mile #1 and #2)

Did I mention that it was cold, foggy, and windy?!

Proof

Proof that I've been working out!  That's me at the bottom of the screen.  Omar is in the green at the opposite end. We need to flatten out our planks....

Rain or Shine?

I have a good question for you.  Tomorrow it is supposed to be raining.  Boot camp is held rain or shine.  Would you go if it was raining and 60-something degrees?  I want to opt out, but am I just being a baby?

I know I've blogged a lot today, but it's Monday and I missed y'all over the weekend!

Update:  I went --- {but it had stopped raining by then}

Basic Training SF

My 1st 6 weeks of "boot camp" is up!  I did it, and I survived.  The scale didn't move too much, but I feel great and I've improved so much.  Also, you know how they say exercise gives you more energy - well I wasn't feeling that much until this week!  Just this week I started waking before my alarm clock!  Usually I'm a 2 to 3 time snoozer!  Love it.

I actually love it so much that Omar and I are signing up for another 5 weeks starting on Monday (4x a week).  If you are looking for a boot camp in San Francisco I highly recommend Basic Training SF.  The trainers are great and very encouraging.  Also, working outside has been so much more pleasurable than hitting the gym for an hour (yawn!).  I'll keep you updated!
