This is how we rolled through Napa this Saturday!

We heard there was going to be great weather in Napa, so Omar wanted to spend his re-do birthday with the Hesters.  We headed up to Napa after lunch then took a bike ride to the Oxbow Market for a little vino!  The bike Omar is riding is mine and Omar's birthday gift from B&R!  Pretty sweet, right?  Given loved riding with his Daddy.  He was mesmerized by the wheels and the ground moving under him!!  After our bike ride we watched Midnight in Paris over Chinese take-out and a million loads of laundry.  Great movie, yummy food, and laundry without going to the laundromat - a great night!

Again, please don't call CPS if you don't think this looks safe!!!  We are researching baby bike seats.

How did this happen?

My little baby turned 5 months old.

Let's see, what has been going on around here?  Given is now rolling over and we are working on sitting up on his own!  He still loves bath time.  He goes down around 6:30 pm and sleeps for a solid 12 hours.  He takes four 8 oz bottles of day.  At first he drank really, really slowly, but now he is gotten a bit quicker.  He is doing great at Claudette's Daycare and has four good friends.  One little girl is just a few weeks older than him.  Claudette caught them holding hands the other day!  He is going to be quite the ladies' man.

I can't believe solids and a sippy cup start in just a few weeks!  Looks like we will need to be hitting up Babies 'r Us for a highchair soon.

He is growing so fast!!!

Birthday Weekend

This last weekend was Omar's birthday weekend - unfortunately on his big day he was sick!  He thinks it was food poisoning.  Yuck!  We had a great day on Saturday though and he gets to make up for his sick day this weekend!

On Saturday we had lunch at Balboa Cafe where they gave us a chocolate fudge sundae in honor of Omar turning another year older!  After naps we packed up Given in the baby Bjorn and continued celebrating with appetizers and cocktails on the Typsy Pig's back porch with our neighbors and the Hesters!!!  The Typsy Pig is a restaurant/bar, but we totally rocked the baby in the bar portion!  As usual, he was the perfect baby.

On Sunday Given and I went to Trader Joe's so that Omar could take a nap and try to feel better.  I guess the nap worked a little, because he was able to partake in a little birthday cake!  Oh, and we can't forget that Sunday was Gypsy's birthday as well!  He turned 6 years old!

Two's a Company

I love that Given can finally sit in his Bumbo properly!  Now he keeps me company in the kitchen while I unload the dishwasher, cook, etc.!  

Please do not call CPS on me - ignore the knife set sitting right behind him!!

We Survived

We survived Omar's business trip, but boy are we glad he's home!  The day he returned, Given was all his!  This was a win win for both us!

CES

Omar is off to CES this week, so it's just the three of us (me, Given, and Gypsy).  Be thinking of us!  Thank goodness for Claudette and her help during the day!

This was actually taken a few weeks ago while we waited for Given's first bus ride.  However, this is exactly what we looked like this morning - this is how we will be walking Gypsy and getting to daycare.  I'm defnitely burning extra calories this week.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve was CRAZY for us!!  We partied hard....kind of...okay - not really!  Just so one day Given can look back on his first NYE - I thought I would document our day!

Babies 'R Us for an exersaucer (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa) - click here for a quick video of my big boy / Cafe Fanny in Berkeley for lunch / Kermit Lynch to pick up wine for future consumption / Back to San Francisco to celebrate the near funding of Flingo at The Wine Merchant - click this link for another quick video of Omar and Given / Omar cooked steaks in the house and smoked up the whole place (which smelled several days into the New Year!) / Given went down at 7 pm / Omar and I watched Crazy Stupid Love / Bed by 11 pm / We missed the ball dropping in California, but we did catch it in Texas!

Given also slept until 8 am the next morning.  He made sure to wake up in time though to have lunch with Aunt B & Uncle R at PF Chang's!
