I found two more examples of awesome charcoal paint! I hadn't thought about using it in the bedroom, but these pictures might have convinced me (granted, they are children's rooms).

I love this charcoal wall paint (benjamin moore "deep space").  I have a picture that I tore out of a magazine of a bathroom in this color.  One day when I can paint my own place without having to worry about my landords....

For now I guess I can live with my charcoal blog backdrop!
